This position entails working in the laboratory of Professor HB Friedrich.  The successful candidate should have received his/her Ph.D. within the last 5 years postdoctoral and have experience in the field of:

• Functionalization of NHC ligands by electronic tweaking of wingtip N-substituents;
• Green synthesis of NHC-metal complexes based on earth-abundant metals
• The application of NHC-metal complexes in homogeneous catalysis. 
• Synthesis of pincer complexes
• Biological studies on metal complexes in general would be an advantage.

The successful applicant should also be available to start work immediately for a 6 month term.
